The process of capturing biometric data at the passport office or at a national border is well known today; facial image, fingerprints and signature are all recorded. The equipment used for this purpose, which was developed by the company Atos AG, is in use worldwide and requires technical support.

Since August 2019, the technicians from cablex Customer Field Service have been responsible for the technical support of this system, offering the end customers professional support in relation to many detailed issues. In addition to the cantonal passport offices and migration offices, Atos customers also include various federal departments.
cablex Fieldforce processes technical questions regarding the components and peripheral devices of the stationary and mobile data capture stations (ESC) as well as their peripheral systems. The service catalogue is very extensive and requires a lot of flexibility. It includes ticketing, maintenance and repair of the integrated electronics and mechanics of the ESC as well as the replacement of defective components on site, including PC and server hardware. Furthermore, the relocation and removal of the ESC is also included in the service. The home base of the cablex Fieldforce employees is located at the premises of Atos in Zurich.
