Unusual pictures at various building sites, because suddenly young Swisscom apprentices were working alongside our employees at network construction, installation or service, as well as individual staff from the cablex communications department. We filmed work scenes and down shafts, climbed up masts, or even flew almost to mountain tops. All this with one purpose in mind: to show cablex in “action”.

Network electricians with a focus on telecommunications install, maintain and repair data and communication networks with copper and optical fibre technologies. The main areas of activity include splicing and assembly work on copper and optical fibre cable and the provision of assistance with cable laying. Most of the work is completed outdoors and includes the underground cable networks as well as the overhead network.

Electricians install, maintain and repair all electrical facilities in buildings. They lay cables, install switch cabinets, connect electrical devices to machines and commission them. Of particular importance when dealing with electricity is a responsible approach and precise adherence to safety regulations.
