2024 – Opening cablex Germany GmbH in Stuttgart, Germany.

cablex is continuing on its expansion drive by opening cablex Germany GmbH in Stuttgart. The company is kick-starting its successful launch on the German market with a major customer project. As a general contractor, cablex Germany GmbH offers comprehensive solutions in optical fibre construction, and customers benefit from a central point of contact for all network construction issues.

2022 – Takeover of Josef Vogt AG.

cablex reinforces its Civil Work division and takes over the equipment and staff of Josef Vogt AG.

2021 – Anniversary 20 years cablex.

In 2021, cablex will celebrate its 20th anniversary.

2020 – The Department of Traffic Engineering becomes Traffic & eMobility.

cablex developed the concept: beyond eMobility! In addition to the installation of the charging infrastructure, we offer you, among other things, an energy management system, billing systems and digitalisation solutions tailored to your needs.

2020 – A strong alliance.

The merger of cablex and Swisscom CFS and the associated takeover of 1000 employees represents a further milestone in the expansion of cablex's competencies and power.

2019 – Merger cablex & CFS.

Swisscom is transferring its Customer Field Service to cablex Ltd with effect from 1 January 2020.

2019 – Traffic Technology unit.

cablex has now rounded off its extensive portfolio with the launch of its new Traffic Technology unit.

2018 – Conclusion of a new collective employment agreement.

2018 – Takeover of Stierli AG.

cablex takes over equipment and staff from Stierli Strassenbau AG, Unterentfelden.

2017 – Takeover of Meier AG.

cablex takes over equipment and staff from Meier AG, Leitungs- und Tiefbau, Wilen/SZ.

2017 – World première: Completion of the first network electrician apprenticeships specialising in telecommunication.

In June 2017, 19 cablex Network Electricians (Telecommunication) completed their training.

2016 – Ceneri Base Tunnel.

Detailed design delivered on time to the FOT.

2014 – Ausbildung der ersten Netzelektriker/innen EFZ mit Schwerpunkt: Telekommunikation.
cablex sagt dem Fachkräftemangel den Kampf an und leistet mit der Ausbildung von Netzelektriker/innen EFZ, Schwerpunkt Telekommunikation einen aktiven Beitrag in der Nachwuchsförderung.

2014 – Gründung des Schweizer Netzinfrastrukturverband (SNiv).
Zusammen mit führenden Unternehmen aus der Netzinfrastrukturbranche gründet cablex den SNiv ‐ Schweizer Netzinfrastrukturverband für Kommunikation, Energie, Transport und ICT. Dies mit dem Ziel, faire Arbeitsbedingungen für alle zu schaffen und die Lehre der Netzelektriker/innen zu stärken.

2013 – Auftrag Ceneri-Basistunnel.
cablex gewinnt als Konsortialführer den 138 Millionen Auftrag ""Bahntechnik und Gesamtkoordination"" im Ceneri Basistunnel.

2012 – Partnerschaft mit Sunrise.
cablex wird strategischer Partner von Sunrise für den Service Bereich.

2012 – Netzerneuerungsauftrag upc.
cablex gewinnt den Netzerneuerungsauftrag (NUP) im Tessin von upc.

2011 – Mobile- und Business Kundenaufträge.
cablex gewinnt grosse Mobile-Aufträge von Orange und Business-Kundenaufträge von Sunrise.

2011 – Auftrag Durchmesserlinie Zürich.
cablex gewinnt den Bahntechnik-Grossauftrag Durchmesserlinie Zürich und unterstützt die SBB bei der Ausführung.

2002 – 2010

2010 – Ausbildung im Bereich Fiber to the home (FTTH).
cablex bekämpft den Fachkräftemangel und bildet schweizweit 45 Schlüsselpersonen im Fachbereich FTTH aus.

2009 – Partnerschaftsvertrag mit Cablecom.
cablex und Cablecom schliessen einen Partnerschaftsvertrag für die Region Tessin ab.

2008 – Erste FTTH-Projekte, die Glasfaser kommt ins Haus.
cablex realisiert erste Fiber to the Home (FTTH)-Projekte.

2007 – Zusammenarbeitsvertrag mit Cablecom.
cablex schliesst einen Zusammenarbeitsvertrag ab mit Cablecom und übernimmt einen Teil ihrer Netzbauabteilung.

2006 – Portfolioerweiterung: Aufbau von Dienstleistungen für Transport.
cablex erweitert das Portfolio um den Bereich Transport mit Dienstleistungen im Strassen- und Schienenverkehr.

2006 – Portfolioerweiterung: Arbeiten im Energie-Bereich.
Mit der Erweiterung des Angebots um den Energie-Bereich (Nieder- und Mittelspannung) wird ein weiterer Meilenstein gesetzt.

2005 – Portfolioerweiterung: Kabelfernsehen.
cablex erweitert das Portfolio um den Bereich Kabelfernsehen (CATV).

2004 – Portfolioerweiterung: Antennen- und Netzbau Indoor.
cablex erweitert das Angebot um den Antennenbau und Netzbau Indoor.

2002 – Zertifizierung ISO.
cablex wird nach ISO 9001 und 14001 zertifiziert.

2001 – Establishment of joint-stock company.

cablex is established on 1 October as an independent joint-stock company. The company originates from the Network Construction department of Swisscom Fixnet AG and is now its main supplier.
