With its new "Retina" shop concept, Swisscom intends to continue focusing on physical shops. For that reason it is converting all the shops throughout Switzerland on the basis of a new, digital concept. cablex has many years' expertise in the electrical and ICT installation segment. Its specialists are familiar with the installation of the latest digital features and they apply their expertise to good effect. For that reason, Swisscom has been working with cablex since the beginning of 2022 to have around 30 Swisscom Shops upgraded to state of the art by cablex before the end of 2024.

The electrical department will have four weeks for the conversion of each shop, and then the new shop will be reopened for customers. In these four weeks the team will replace the entire electrical installation. At the same time the team will fit the new electrical sub-distribution box and exchange the UCC (universal communication cabling) rack. They will also install new lighting in the shop.
