Challenge: the cable route ran via external shafts.
The special feature of this project was the construction method of the residential area. The in-house cable route ran via three external shafts in the car park – a conventional in-house cable was out of the question here, as it is neither weatherproof nor protected against rodents. The experienced cable pulling team was called in to fulfil the special requirements.
Customer-orientated planning and implementation.
Severin Fuchs, Construction Manager at cablex, coordinated the project in close dialogue with the owners. Each work step was communicated in advance so that access to cable ducts, cellars and houses only had to be authorised once. This reduced the workload for everyone involved and enabled efficient implementation.
At the end of the project, all 28 properties were equipped with optical fibre cabling to the desired premises – including fully installed house connections and OTO sockets.
Optical fibre project – 28 single-family homes in three days.
Efficient collaboration – everything from a single source.
Seven technicians, a site manager, a project manager from Field Services and three colleagues from the cable pulling team worked closely together. While the optical fibre cables were being pulled in, the distribution cables were installed in the house junction boxes, and the optical fibre sockets (OTO sockets) were installed at the same time.
Thanks to this coordinated work in parallel, cablex was able to complete all services very efficiently in a single operation.

Marko Landolt supervised the project on behalf of the Field Services site management team and praised the excellent cooperation with his cable pulling colleagues:
Innovation, precision and teamwork were crucial. Thanks to the support of our cable pulling colleagues, we handled the special challenge regarding the amount of material and the transport logistics brilliantly. By working closely with the owners, we were able to implement the optical fibre connections efficiently and successfully.
