Uezwil

As part of the preparations, a temporary structure is being erected over the course of two days. In this phase of the project, the technicians focus on keeping downtimes as short as possible to ensure that customers are quickly able to surf the web and make calls once again. The goal of erecting this temporary structure is transferring the antennas – removing them from the old mast and temporarily attaching them to a scaffold. When installing the antennas in their temporary locations, the technicians ensure that the alignment of the antennas corresponds with their previous alignment on the mast.

In a second stage, the old mast is disassembled by a steel construction company and replaced by a new one. Installing the new mast enables the installation of new antennas offering higher performance. In addition, the three new antennas at the Uezwil site are equipped with 5G technology.

Previously the antennas transmitted at a frequency of 900 MHz.
New: 700 MHz, 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 3500 MHz (5G)
