Service technicians from cablex Field Services received training on the Business POS system in three phases. And we now have 12 technicians deployed throughout Switzerland. In 2021, a total of 127 cash register systems were set up for 97 customers. The forecast for 2022 is 500 new customers with 1000 cash registers.

The service package.

In addition to the technical installation of the POS systems, the cablex service technicians also provide small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) with step-by-step support during commissioning. This also includes initial training to explain the most important functions. Following this, a "Care Call" is agreed in each case, during which Swisscom continues to support the customer via telephone and remote access for 30 days. And even after the 30 days have expired, free hotline support is still available.

Business POS offers an extensive software with many possibilities. the system is simple and clear to use, and figures can be viewed with a smartphone or on a PC.

Business POS includes a comprehensive service package with many benefits:

  • Commissioning and initial training on-site
  • Free support hotline
  • Replacement of outdated or defective cash registers
  • Monthly costs that can be budgeted
  • Regular software updates

Outstanding potential.

The need for digital POS solutions in the market is large. Around 100,000 small and medium-sized companies in Switzerland have a point of sale, i.e. a shop. What's more, the number of new companies being founded each year continues to rise, despite or perhaps because of the corona crisis. Food truck snack bars, take-aways and personal service providers offer their services and need a flexible POS system.

With the installations we have been able to carry out to date, the breakdown by sector is as follows:

  • 46% gastronomy (restaurant, café, bar, food truck...)
  • 30% retail trade (bakery, kiosk, boutique...)
  • 24% Service providers (hairdresser, cosmetics, tailoring...)

Further development.

Now that the product has been introduced and the processes are settling in, our focus is on marketing. We have introduced a pragmatic process to generate leads. We hope that the 1000 cash register installations in the forecast will be achieved, and that we will be able to inspire more businesses with the product in 2023.

Sweet dreams come true in Shukrane Maliqi's cake factory in Brig. To ensure that not only her recipes are successful, but also the figures at the end of the day, she puts her trust in POS system from Swisscom.

The POS system is as helpful as a good colleague. I can enter a new product quickly and easily directly at the POS – while serving the customer.
