Zermatt 2024 - Hero 16-9

cablex job done – now the festival is on.

300 metres of optical fibre cable have been laid for the "Zermatt Unplugged" festival. Our cablex technicians have left, and now it's time for five days of pure music on 17 show stages in Zermatt.

On 8 April 2024, the time had come again: Our Field Services Team, consisting of Ignaz Wyer and Alain Oggier, installed the optical fibre optic connection for the music spectacle in the Valais mountains on behalf of Swisscom Broadcast. Thomas Von Arx, the new ad interim Head of the Field Services Organisational Unit, actively supported his team in Zermatt.

The technology has to be perfect.

Over 30,000 visitors to the festival use their mobile phones during the event. On top of that, flawless media coverage has to be guaranteed. That's why a modern Nimbra solution was connected to the optical fibre link, which guarantees high-quality and lossless transport of video, voice and data.

The 15th Zermatt Unplugged Festival will soon be history. Then it will be time to take it down, and our cablex colleagues will once again go about their work with commitment and passion.
