On behalf of Swisscom, cablex constructed a new mobile communications site in rural Bettwil (AG) in the beautiful region around Hallwilersee lake. The fifth generation of the mobile communication standard is now providing faster and more reliable mobile internet there. Customers benefit from higher data transfer speeds and greater capacity.

New 5G mobile sites are also being built in rural regions.

5G not only accelerates mobile streaming or gaming, it also creates better conditions for installing new technologies thanks to its short response times. Digital development is advancing rapidly. People and the new technologies they use need a powerful network infrastructure.

One example of this is the use of smart meters, which allow automated meter readings. In this day and age, other smart energy management concepts also require high-performance networks. You can find out more about the cablex portfolio here.
