What is a smart meter – and why now?
A smart meter automatically measures, stores and transmits electricity consumption data to a central system. This replaces the classic manual reading. This not only saves time and money, but also creates transparency – for network operators, companies and consumers.
According to the Energy Strategy 2050, at least 80% of all metering points must be equipped with a smart meter by the end of 2027 at the latest. The time to act is now – cablex is with you every step of the way.
