Apprentice network electricians working on a transmission tower.

Become a Certified Network Electrician (VET).

Take your first step into the professional world at cablex!

Certified Network Electrician (VET) with a focus on telecommunications.

As a Certified Network Electrician with a Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (VET), you enable global communication and data exchanges between people and/or machines. You lay, install, connect and maintain data and communications networks – from the telephone exchange, to the customer's home connection, to mobile communication antennas.

You are often on the go with your team, mostly outdoors. As an apprentice at cablex, you will be let in on the secrets of copper and fibre optic technology and, at the end of your three-year apprenticeship, you will be able to carry out maintenance work on and analyse and solve faults with the data and communication networks.
